Uncle Jed, a few years before his casting in "The Wizard of Oz"

Yeah, I know it's Buddy Ebsen (born Christian Ludolf Ebsen, April 02, 1908) but what I don't know for sure is if this is from "Broadway Melody of 1936" or "Born to Dance" or "Broadway Melody of 1938".... it seems Barnaby, err, Buddy and Bonnie (Nana) were in all three.

In any event, it's a nice pic of hoofer Buddy Ebsen a few years before he nearly died while doing testing for the silver makeup application as the Tin Woodsman in the Judy Garland film, The Wizard of Oz. I make that distinction as there was a silent version of the film as well.

But we all knew that already.
